About this property
New Zealand offers phenomenal nymph fishing in the winter (May-September) and incredible backcountry dry-fly fishing in the summer (October-April). Fishing for 4 to 6 pound trout with many double digit fish caught each year, in some of the most pristine rivers on earth. RMAC members receive special fly fishing packages when they book a trip through Distant waters. New Zealand trips headquarter at a lodge on Lake Taupo on the North Island. Trips are virtually all inclusive, including round-trip airfare from Los Angeles, fine dining, a knowledgeable guide, transportation, local flights, and even equipment if desired. Some of the areas you can fish are Tongariro River, Tauranganga Taupo River, Hinemaiaia River, Waipunga River, Mohaka River and the Ngarorouro River as well as Lake Taupo.
