About this property
The bug life in this creek is unusually dense, with midges, sow bugs, scuds, and small darting minnows creating a rich food base. Its narrow profile fits a 2-weight or tenkara setup, though a 3-weight handles the valley’s frequent winds with more control. Dry flies in size 12 or 14 work well, and general attractors reliably draw strikes due to the fish’s limited exposure to artificial patterns. Brook trout occupy the upper stretch, while browns, rainbows, and splake concentrate through the middle and lower reaches. The property is lined with oxbows, with the largest fish holding in the central section. Stealthy wading remains essential.
